    For the water-soluble workhorses — vitamin C and most B vitamins — the synthetic and natural forms are essentially the same molecule and perform the same job. A pricey “natural vitamin C from acerola” is not meaningfully better than plain ascorbic acid for the vitamin C itself; you are mostly paying for the story.   • The dose — an effective amount beats a “natural” trace every time.
  • Third-party testing — proof the label is honest, regardless of source.
